This year’s Human Race will take place on Saturday, May 10, at 8:00 a.m. The starting point will be the Herbert Slater Middle School, 3500 Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA. This is a very important fundraising event for our school. Last year we were able to raise just over $8000 for our school. This year I am praying that we can increase this effort. I am calling upon each family to join in and participate. Please mark you calendars and make plans to attend the “Kick Off” meeting scheduled for Monday, April 7th at 6:30p.m. Information and materials will be provided at this meeting. Please help us help your children by your participation in this event.

I hope you all had a very enjoyable and restful Easter break. We are now entering into the final stretch of this school year. The 3rd quarter ends on Friday, April 4th, and the last nine weeks are upon us. This final stretch is without any non-school days, and can be rather taxing on students, parents, and teachers alike. Given this, I encourage you to make every effort to help your child remain focused on their studies. This will relieve the pressure on them, and will help their teacher insure that all work is completed by the year end.
